These drones take impressive shots, recording perspectives and angles for the first time and opening up a brand new world of photographic images that turn media reports into something unforgettable.
Octocopters can fly and maintain their position in a working range of 0 to 300 metres altitude. The rotorcraft can be piloted by a person or a computer. The system includes a computerised head with self levelling, 360° rotation, GPS stabilizer, computer positioning, and a mobile camera that can be programmed or piloted from a distance. The cameraman is equipped with Sharp eyewear that enables him to film live and work the camera using independent controls. Images are stream recorded or registered on magnetic cards. The MDS octocopter team comprises two copters, two cameramen and a professional pilot.
A team specializing in Gopro and other small cameras will be producing videos daily and posting them on YouTube and social networks. These images of runners from different countries will tell the incredible MARATHON DES SABLES story.
Small mobile cameras will be set up at different strategic points on the race, producing the most authentic MDS images ever seen.
Taken using 12 GoPro cameras, these new images will give Net surfers a dynamic vision of the race. A team of super "wizards" will edit and produce two 2-3 minute articles every day.
