I would like to put down a great achievement to raise money again for people with a motor neuron disease. We will start looking for sponsors with my team and the final amount goes to an organization that stands for “Right-to-Try for ALS patients.

Patients should have easier access to trials and drugs for motor neuron disease such as ALS. I have seen up close how my friend, who had ALS, had to fight to get experimental medication and to get access and in to trials.

I want to give everything during the MDS to raise money in order to hand over the organization, which is committed to ALS patients in the Netherlands or even Europe.

This financial contribution is needed for research and medicines for this disease. In tribute to my friend, I want to run through the desert. That gives me the strength to be able to accomplish this and I can hand over a nice amount to the ALS organization.

While running through the desert, my thoughts will always be with my friend. This is going to be something to be proud of!
