I’ve got salt in my blood having spent most of my professional life at sea. I also spent 8 years volunteering as lifeboat crew for various local lifeboats (as I moved around the country). So, I know how hard it is to respond to a lifeboat shout when it’s dark, cold and in the middle of the night.
