THE FORMAT
MDS 120 is a week-long sporting adventure that combines exploration, encounters and personal challenge. After spending one or two nights in a hotel, you’ll head into one of the world’s most beautiful deserts for four days of walking and running, carrying your own food and covering a distance of 70, 100 or 120 km across three stages, with three or four nights spent camping under the stars.
Once the race is over, you’ll return to the hotel to celebrate together and unwind, or set off to discover the country, depending on the destination.

Whether you prefer walking or running, choose the challenge that suits you: 70, 100 or 120 km across three stages. Each format offers a different level of effort while giving you the full MDS 120 experience.
- Stage 1: Approximately 25 to 30 km to get your adventure underway
- Stage 2: Choose your distance: 20, 40 or 60 km
- Stage 3: Approximately 25 to 30 km to bring this unforgettable journey to a close

Ultra-Flexible Registration Terms
Cancellation Policy: 7th Edition, 2027
- Until April 30, 2027, inclusive: Cancellation is possible free of charge.
- From May 1 to May 30, 2027, inclusive: 25% of the total registration fee will be retained by the event organizers in the event of cancellation.
- From May 31 to June 30, 2027, inclusive: 50% of the total registration fee will be retained by the event organizers in the event of cancellation.
- After June 30, 2027: No refunds will be issued. However, registration may still be deferred to a future edition, subject to the event's deferral policy.
Deferral Policy: 7th Edition, 2027
- Until June 30, 2027, inclusive: Deferral to the following edition is possible free of charge.
- From July 1 to August 29, 2027, inclusive: A €250 fee applies to defer registration.
- From August 30, 2027, onwards: Deferrals are no longer possible.

BIVOUAC
LIFE AT THE BIVOUAC
Every night in the desert, you’ll sleep in your own individual tent at the MDS bivouac. The camp is arranged in clusters of six tents and stays in the same location throughout the race. It’s a place to connect, where strong bonds are formed and stories, laughter and moments of mutual support are shared.
No electricity, no mobile signal, no showers. Just the essentials to reconnect with nature, yourself and the people around you.
At the bivouac, you’ll find toilets (remember to bring your own toilet paper), shared shaded areas and a medical tent open around the clock, with a team on hand to look after you whenever you need assistance.
SELF-SUFFICIENCY
FULL FOOD SELF-SUFFICIENCY
MDS 120 Jordan is a fully self-sufficient race when it comes to food. You’ll need to carry all the food you’ll need for your four days in the desert in your backpack. The organisation provides drinking water at the bivouac and at checkpoints located approximately every 8 to 12 km along each stage.
After each stage, you’ll receive 5 litres of water to use for drinking, cooking and washing until the following day. To prepare properly, plan for 10 to 12 meals, with a recommended minimum daily intake of 2,000 kcal. Many participants choose freeze-dried meals, savoury snacks, dried fruit and energy bars to keep their backpacks as light as possible.
This self-sufficient approach adds another layer of personal challenge to the adventure. And it makes reaching the finish line all the more rewarding.

If you leave this blank, you will be randomly assigned with one or two other participants. In triple rooms, the 3rd bed is a sofa bed with comfortable bedding. Rooms are single-gender, unless specifically requested.
DISCOVER JORDAN
During this exceptional week, we will take you to discover the jewels of Jordan. Starting with the Wadi Rum desert, where you will share these vast open spaces with the camels and the Bedouins, the true masters of the land.
Your adventure will continue with a visit to Petra, one of the 7 wonders of the modern world. A unique site that will leave you in awe. And to round off your discovery of Jordan, you will end with 2 days on the shores of the Dead Sea. An exceptional setting to bring your MDS experience to a close.
