Laurence KLEIN is a monument to French running, and it is also a monument to the MDS. European 100 km champion in 2007 (7h26), French Marathon Champion in 2008 (2h37), French Trail Champion in 2010, Laurence also holds three titles in the MARATHON DES SABLES (2007, 2011, 2012 ).

If she no longer claims final victory, at 55 years old, Laurence remains very efficient and can climb into the Top 10. Her son Lilian, 28 years old, will also be present at this 38th edition of the MDS Legendary.

This is new for this 38th edition: in partnership with MDS Legendary, Laurence coached dozens of women as part of their preparation. And it’s immediately visible at the bivouac: “Lots of women have come to thank me since we settled in. This coaching met a real need, especially for new participants. They had a lot of questions, and it was important to adapt to each person’s needs. »

Laurence is a regular at MDS Legendary, and she carefully observes the small changes that punctuate the race. “I really enjoyed eating together last night. It was a good time shared between tents, and it allowed us to get to know each other better before spending the first night together. And then everyone brought specialties from their region, it was very friendly. » Enough to strengthen the tent spirit and launch the adventure in the best conditions!
