5 NEW FEATURES THAT WOMEN WILL LIKE

In order to make the MARATHON DES SABLES even more accessible to women, five strong measures will be put in place from 2024. Ladies, everything is being done to ensure that you experience the most successful adventure of your life!

The record for female participation in the MARATHON DES SABLES has already been broken: 35% women among the 2024 registrants! And to achieve parity as is the case with other MARATHON DES SABLES events around the world, we have implemented 5 new features which should delight those who are undecided.

RESERVED TENTS

Women who wish can choose to stay in 100% female tents. Of course, those who prefer a mixed tent will be able to make this choice. As a reminder, the composition of the tents is fixed for the entire event (8 nights). Each Berber tent can accommodate up to 8 participants.

CLOTHING AREAS

Cabins reserved for women will allow them to change in complete privacy.

DEDICATED TOILETS

Toilets reserved for women will be present at the bivouac AND at the checkpoints.

PERIODIC PROTECTIONS

Periodic protection (towels and tampons) will be available at the bivouac AND at the checkpoints for the duration of the event.

FREE TRAINING PLAN

Women who wish can request a free training plan. Concocted by Laurence KLEIN, three-time winner of the MARATHON DES SABLES, they will obviously be adapted to the goal of these participants.
