Pascal PORTE (FRA)

With the mind everything is possible... or almost

At over 50, Pascal PORTE does not really have the physique of the perfect marathon runner: 1.83 m for a little over 80 kg. No, he has more of the physique of a perfect tennis player, a sport he played at a high level in the 1980s - be careful not to confuse him with Pascal PORTES, who played at a very high level. Unfortunately, in 1999 Pascal practically put a stop to tennis after three unsuccessful shoulder operations and almost no cartilage on his knees.

A man of challenges, Pascal simultaneously created his IT service company in 1991 with two partners, and has since taken on other challenges such as bungee jumping, car racing, free fall, and… l 'ultra-trail. And for those who know him, that could make you smile: Pascal doesn't like running! "But I love the challenge of these kilometers, the effort, the team spirit, and the landscapes crossed during the races in nature. "

If he isn’t very fast, Pascal can count on his mind to get through his challenges. And of course, his wife and two daughters support him closely; his challenges are also a way of sending them a message: “With the mind everything is possible… or almost. And Papa is still 30 years old in his head! This message also applies to its employees and customers. Moreover, one of his collaborators will also be present at the MARATHON DES SABLES, but "He is younger than me and runs much faster ... But we make a strong team! "

Currently, Pascal is resuming his training after almost two months of hiatus due to an ankle problem. Walking, running and mountain biking combine to avoid a relapse, under the advice of his physiotherapist. We of course wish Pascal a good end of preparation, who can't wait to be there: "The MDS is going to be a great lesson in life at all levels! "
