Angélique HUE (FRA)

“Winning is surpassing yourself”

Angélique HUE took part in the 37th MARATHON DES SABLES with her brother, a first for both of them, and a first that hadn't been won in advance: "My brother has been familiar with the event for more than 20 years, but his hip only allowed him to dream about it..." But after two years in Reunion and a Diagonale des Fous in his pocket, he began to think about it for good for his 50th birthday: "He spoke to me about it with so many passion and motivation that I decided to accompany him in this great family adventure. »

If this adventure was of course synonymous with challenge, it also served as support for a great cause, that of little Hugo: "He is the son of a couple of friends, he is 12 years old and has a disease rare genetics. On the occasion of our participation in the MDS, Hugo will discover the Moroccan Sahara through our eyes: with him, there will be three of us running in the desert! »

At 50 and 45, our duo are passionate about sport, even if in civilian life they both sit behind a desk all day: Angélique is an interim agency director, and her brother is an IT specialist. Away from each other, the practice of different sports allows them to meet and share emotions and thrills. Their credo: "Winning is not about finishing in first position, it is not about beating others, winning is about surpassing oneself and transforming dreams into reality by living a sporting, family and solidarity experience whose we will remember all our lives! »
