"I never give up"

Eliott SAGEAT (D233 – FRA)

At 28, Eliott is a sports coach, former top-level judoka and author of a book on sport, diet and mental health. Born into a family of sportsmen and women, he shares his knowledge on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eliott.sageat/

This is his second MARATHON DES SABLES LEGENDARY after an experience that ended in injury last year. "The MDS was a childhood dream. I've got a huge competitive spirit, but that sometimes borders on insanity. I find it hard to set myself limits and stop.

After the first three stages, Eliott was in the top third of the pack. He had his ups and downs on the long stage yesterday, especially after the sixtieth kilometre. But with his maxim - "I never give up" - you can count on him to go as far as he can. And if he looks at his ranking, that's not what's important above all: "I think that this kind of event leads everyone to compete with themselves and not with others.
